In short, the game is a side-scrolling action RPG that revolves around hunting down various creatures and either cooking them or using parts of their bodies to craft various weapons. Players can also craft better, more powerful weapons out of the weapons that they already have; it’s this system that makes the game feel so refreshing, as well as giving players ample freedom to construct the perfect build for their play style.

10Submachine Gun

If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it! Submachine guns are a staple of countless games, and the Submachine Gun inDungeon Munchiesis every bit as devastating as fun to use as in any other game.

The Submachine Gun inflicts 12 damage per shot and fires off rounds very quickly. While its DPS isn’t exactly insane, it’s a great choice for managing group encounters or taking down larger enemies, thanks to how quickly it can fire off shots. Plus, it covers a good amount of range, so players can also use the Submachine Gun safely from a distance.

9Pump-Action Ax

Nothing says brutality like attaching a shotgun to an ax, and that’s exactly what the Pump-Action Axe is. The Pump-Action Ax functions largely like a regular ax, but, when players swing it, the shotgun attachment has the chance to spray a round of shots as well.

While this occurs somewhat randomly, it’s a great way for players to wreak utter havoc on the battlefield and make an already dangerous weapon even more dangerous. Players looking for a more predictable weapon might want to choose something else, but it’s hard to beat the Pump-Action Ax as far as sheer fun is concerned.

8Insecticide

It might not look like much, but Insecticide is an incredibly effective way of dealing with enemies inDungeon Munchies. When used, it deals a whopping 500 Poison Damage repeatedly for a duration of 10 seconds, making it a great way for players to get out of sticky situations when they’ve run out of options.

And, while some players might prefer to use melee weapons inDungeon Munchies, it’s worth pointing out that Poison Damage is an efficient and underrated way of taking out enemies, allowing players to fight smarter rather than harder; a clever feature reminiscent of the combat of some other, classic action RPG titles. Don’t count the Insectide out!

7Remote Bomb

Group encounters are often tricky to manage inDungeon Munchies. It can be easy to get swarmed in certain areas, especially given how fast combat in the game tends to move (this intensity putsDungeon Munchieson par with some of thebest indie RPGs of all time).

Fortunately, there are so many weapons in the game that players can come up with plenty of ways to deal with groups of enemies. One of the most effective is easily the Remote Bomb, a powerful exploding device that players can set up and then detonate from a safe distance. There’s no more impactful or satisfying way to take enemies in the game out, frankly.

6Flaming Halberd

The Flaming Halberd is easily one of the coolest weapons inDungeon Munchies, visually speaking (and is somehow reminiscent of the keyblades fromKingdom Hearts, puttingDungeon Munchiesup there with some other, classic titles that fans of the franchise are sure to love). On top of that, it causes fire damage to any enemies that it hits in addition to the melee damage that it deals.

Players can utilise the Flaming Halberd as a means of dealing with groups of enemies while still maintaining their distance. The weapon deals a decent amount of damage when used with thrusting attacks, so it’s a good option for players who prefer to poke their enemies at range rather than getting close to them.

5Shark Fin Pickaxe

The Shark Fin Pickaxe is one of the more unusual-looking weapons inDungeon Munchies, and it’s also an incredibly powerful one (one of the best things about the game is that itfeatures a huge array of weapons). Not only does it deal a healthy amount of damage with each blow, but it also stuns enemies when hitting them.

Stunning enemies inDungeon Munchiesis a great way of neutralizing some of the threat that they pose, especially when dealing with larger groups. However, it’s important to point out here that the Shark Fin Pickaxe does actually un-stun stunned enemies once it hits them. So, players need to employ some element of strategy when using this weapon.

4Desert Jail

Desert Jail does a uniquely good job of dealing with enemies at medium range, firing a fairly broad spray of shots at enemies. The weapon deals a more than respectable 180 damage per shot and is a great choice for dealing with larger enemies or group encounters thanks to how much ground it can cover.

Players should take note that the Desert Jail is fairly slow to use, though, and it uses two rounds per magazine (beginners especially should take note of this, in addition toeverything else they need to learn about the game). So, players looking for a faster or frankly more convenient weapon to use should consider another entry on this list.

3Portable Execution Device

Players on the hunt for the perfect laser beam for theirDungeon Munchiescharacter need look no further. The Portable Execution Device is essentially a laser rifle that deals massive amounts of damage from a fairly impressive distance, making it a great choice for players looking for ranged weapons with great DPS outputs.

The Portable Execution Device offers rapid fire, too, which makes it a great choice for dealing massive amounts of damage in a short amount of time, especially in a pinch. This is definitely one of the best weapons in the game.

2Tartarus

If players ever start feeling lonely when playingDungeon Munchies, then they should be pleased to learn that there’s a weapon that can help keep them company. Yes, Tartarus can actually summon a Demon to aid the player in battle by using the Soul Shards of fallen enemies (resurrection is a common trope inmany of the best action RPGs).

This can make or break difficult encounters or group encounters especially, and players who struggle with managing multiple enemies at once should seriously consider trying the weapon out. It doesn’t hurt that Tartarus also looks extremely cool, so it wins some bonus points for aesthetics.

1Shadowfang

Shadowfang is, without a doubt, one of the most powerful weapons in all ofDungeon Munchies. It’s also a challenging weapon to acquire, but it’s definitely worth it; Shadowfang, when used, fires a burst of black flames that continue to inflict damage on the enemy for a duration of 10 seconds if hit.

This black flame attack deals 600 damage, which is nothing short of outrageous, and the weapon looks fantastic to boot (it’s easily as awesome as weapons fromsome of the best action RPGs of all time). Players looking for an exceptionally powerful weapon with the ability to carry out ranged attacks should definitely consider using Shadowfang.
