How to Conquer a Village in Dune: Spice Wars

Before players can attack a village, they will have to recruit army units. This can be done by clicking the ‘plus’ icon located beneath the military tab in the drop-down menu on the right side of the screen.Dune: Spice Warshas seven types of military units, including Trooper, Ranger, Heavy Weapon Squad, Support Drone, Warden, Hawk, and Kraken. It is recommended to try different unit combinations for the best results.

Once players have recruited an army unit, they can command an Ornithopter to investigate the surroundings. Players have one Ornithopter by default, andthey can build anotherby clicking the ‘plus’ icon found under the ‘Ornithopters’ tab. Once it discovers a village, players can claim it if it’s neutral. However, taking control of a village is easier said than done. This is because every village is guarded by its native militias, and players will have to kill them to take over the village.

To launch an attack on a village, players will need to select an army unit first, followed by a right-click on the village they want to acquire. As military units approach the village, the village’s soldiers will come out, and both parties will engage in combat. The more villages a player acquires, the more resources they’ll have, increasing the likelihood of harvesting more spice.

What to Do After Conquering a Village

After successfully capturing a village, players are presented with two options, i.e., pillaging or liberating. If the said village was previously under an opponent faction, players can liberate it to disrupt their economy. On the other hand, players can also opt to pillage to acquire the village’s resources. In addition, they will also be able to construct buildings, such as Dew Collectorsand Plascrete Factories, in their occupied villages. For this purpose, they will need to select a village, go to the ‘Buildings’ tab, and place their desired building.
