Disney Dreamlight Valley has just received a new update-The Lucky Dragon. It introduces Dreamers to the Mulan Realm, where they meet two new characters- Mulan and Mushu.
To unlock these cute characters and bring them to the valley, Dreamers have to complete a series of quests, starting with the A New Recruit quest. Check out this guide to learn how to complete A New Recruit Quest inDisney Dreamlight Valley.
How to Complete A New Recruit Quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley
The quest begins with you entering Mulan’s Realm. To complete it, you need to follow these steps:
Clean The Camp
After entering the realm, go to the training camp and find Mushu. The camp is a mess, so Mushu will ask players to clean it up. For that, you will have to:
Find eight rocks in the camp and useyour Royal Pickaxeto smash them. You can find this tool on a giant rock on the east side of Scrooge McDuck’s shop in the Plaza. Dreamers will need to get it as a part of the first introductory quest inDisney Dreamlight Valley.
Now, find 12 Rice Spills on the ground and remove them withyour Royal Shovel tool. Once done, go to the entrance area of the training camp and flip over the Cauldron.
Find Training Uniform Pieces
In the second part of the quest, Mushu will ask you to dress properly, so you’ll need to find these four pieces of the training uniform:

You can find the training pantsby the first tree to the right of the main entrance gateof the camp area.
Training Shirt Location in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Go to thefirst tent beside the golden bell in the campto find the training shirt.
The socks are in atent near the Cauldron.
Training Shoes Location in Disney Dreamlight Valley
To get training shoes, head to thelake to the left of the camp area.
Once all pieces are collected, hand them over to Mushu, who’ll ask you to wear them. So go to the wardrobe section and put on your Training Uniform.
Prepare a Bowl of Mushu’s Congee
Finally, Mushu will ask you to cook a bowl of Mushu’s Congee for Mulan, so purchase these ingredients from a bench near the Cauldron:
When the meal is ready, head to the Golden Bell and strike it to summon Mulan. After you give her Mushu’s Congee, A New Recruit quest will be completed.
