Disney Dreamlight Valleyhas plenty of quests that challenge players’ wits and help strengthen their bond with a vast cast of characters. Completing these Friendship Quests unlocks more quests and rewards players with exclusive items.
Chasing the Wind is the quest from Elsa in the Frozen Realm, where players need to help her settle down the raging Wind Spirit by crafting wind chimes. This guide will cover how to craft the wind chimes and complete the “Chasing the Wind"Friendship Quest for ElsainDisney Dreamlight Valley.

How to Complete “Chasing the Wind”
Upon completingAnna’s The Spirits of Nature quest, players will need to locate Elsa on the other side of the bridge and talk to her. Elsa will be thankful for the help and tell players about a Wind Spirit known as Gale. To calm Gale, players will propose the idea of using wind chimes, a suggestion that Elsa will like. to craft the wind chimes,players will need three Twine, three Iron Ingots, and 15 Softwood.
Collect the Required Materials
Players need to make three wind chimes in total, so collect the materials accordingly. The first item on the list, twine, will be provided by Elsa herself. To get three Iron Ingots,collect 15 iron oreand three coal ore. Iron ore can be mined from the rocks in the biomes of The Glade of Trust, Forest of Valor, Sunlit Plateau, Frosted Heights, or Forgotten Lands.
It is worth noting that the Forest of Valor and Glade of Trust are cheaper to unlock, so beginners can easily mine iron from there. Coal ore, on the other hand, can be mined from any biome in the valley. Once done, head to a crafting station and make three Iron Ingots as required for the wind chimes. Coming tothe final material, Softwood, players can find this pile of Softwood in Peaceful Meadow, Forest of Valor, Plaza, and Glade of Trust.
Craft and Place Wind Chimes
Once all the materials are collected, players can start working on crafting the wind chimes. Head to a crafting station, make three wind chimes and return to Elsa in the Frozen Realm.
Once crafted, look for theshiny white treesin the realm and place wind chimes on their branches. Players will know that the wind chimes are in the right spot when trees start sparkling. Once done, talk to Elsa. She will express her gratitude and “Chasing the Wind” will be completed.
