Call of Duty: Warzoneis in the midst of one of its most controversial metas ever, as the FFAR and AUG have dominated for several weeks now. However,Call of Duty: Warzonefan and loadout expert NICKMERCS believes a third gun should be in the mix.

NICKMERCS revealing a new top-tier gun could be his way of trying to bring the dreaded FFAR and AUG meta to a close. The streamer has spoken out publicly against both weapons, starting first with the FFAR. He then went on tocall for AUG changes, which is particularly interesting considering he pushed for a powerful burst fire weapon. Still, NICKMERCS seems to be as tired of the current meta as everyone else, with the FaZe member suggesting the Groza Assault Rifle as a replacement.

For those unfamiliar with the weapon,the Groza was unlockedvia Season 1 battle pass progress, and it can now be obtained via an in-game challenge or marketplace bundle purchase. In his new video on the weapon, NICKMERCS does clarify that the gun cannot compete with the FFAR and AUG. Outright saying that “it’s not better than the FFAR," he is honest about the Groza. However, he does believe that it is worth using if players need a change, as it is still extremely strong.

One of the bestweapons inCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Waras well, NICKMERCS shares the attachments needed to make the Groza the best it can be. In the Muzzle slot, a GRU Suppressor is added, while a 16.5” CMV Mil-Spec appears in the Barrel position due to the damage and range boost it provides. Accuracy is assisted by the Spetsnaz Grip in the underbarrel slot, while a KGB Pad stock helps handling. Finally, a VDV 60 Rnd Fast Mag allows for more ammo in each clip. As pointed out by NICKMERCS, these allow the gun to excel in every area, as it “shoots really fast” and “kills really fast,” with a huge magazine being a bonus.

According to NICKMERCS, the Groza is superior to the MAC-10 and all other SMGs. With this one Assault Rifle being stronger than the entirety of the SMG class, it certainly seems a bit overpowered. While it will be good to see something other than the FFAR and AUG in matches, the Groza does seem to continue the problem withCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warguns being overly strong. Several weapons from the game have madeCall of Duty: Warzone’s TTKbrutally fast, with the Groza just being the latest of the bunch.

With players recently learning thatsnipers are overpowered inCall of Duty: Warzonewhen using a certain attachment, it seems like fans already know what the next meta will be. For those that like to prepare early, getting good at sniping while also equipping a Groza would be wise.
