Call of Duty: Warzonehas only been available for about a day at the time of this writing, but players are already discovering some cheap tricks and exploits they can use in the game to get an unfair advantage over the competition. This includes a trick thatCall of Duty: Warzoneplayers can abuse to shoot players out of the sky and kill them before they even have a chance to land on the battle royale map.
This trick that lets players kill enemies before they can even land on theWarzonemapwas posted to Reddit by GranolaJrBar, and it has since spread online. The trick is easy enough to pull off - simply cut the parachute, then use the pistol that everyone starts out with by default to shoot enemy players out of the sky. The enemy players will likely not even know what’s happening before it’s too late, and it’s very difficult for them to avoid this or even really fight back.

Needless to say, the use of this trick is already causing controversy in theCall of Duty: Warzonecommunity. Fans are calling onInfinity Wardto patch it out of the game as soon as possible, but it remains to be seen when that will happen. Alternatively, another fix would be to make it soWarzoneplayers don’t spawn with any weapons, but that might somewhat hurt the game’s relatively fast-paced nature compared to other battle royales that emphasize looting over action.
There are numerous ways Infinity Ward can tackle this problem, and while a specific solution has yet to be announced, one has to imagine that it will come sooner rather than later. Infinity Ward releasesCall of Dutyupdateson a regular basis, and considering the consistent support it’s offered 2019’sModern Warfare, one has to imagine thatCall of Duty: Warzonewill be getting similar attention.
This is far from the first time that Infinity Ward has had to change something in aCall of Dutygame to better balance the experience. For example, thecontroversial 725 shotgunhas been tweaked in numerous updates, as at one point it was capable of literally sniping players from across the map.
Considering how often Infinity Ward releases updates and how potentially frustrating thisWarzonetrick will be for players, expect a fix to come soon.
Call of Duty: Warzoneis out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
