In a recent post on theCall of Dutywebsite, Activision laid out some playlists fans can expect to see come March 21. In addition to a standard Battle Royale mode that incorporates an increased player count of 120 users, it also features a mode called Mobile Royale, which incorporates better loot, more missions, and “faster combat.” Both modes are played onWarzone’s classic Verdansk map. Also included is a Rebirth Resurgence playlist on Rebirth Island, a mode that allows users to redeploy throughout a match if certain requirements are met. Furthermore,Warzone Mobilefeatures some ofCall of Duty’s traditional 6v6 modes in its Mosh Pit and Shoot the Ship playlists, where maps like Scrapyard, El Asilo, Hotel, Shipment, and Shoot House can be played.

Activision confirmed that some playlists will be rotated out with new ones throughoutWarzone Mobile’s lifespan, similar to standardWarzoneandModern Warfare 3’s regular additionsof new playlists.Warzone Mobile’s cross-progression with the two games covers account levels and battle passes. So, if users have already purchasedCall of Duty’s current battle pass, they automatically unlock the same pass inWarzone Mobilewhile maintaining their progression. Additionally,Mobileplayers can unlock five exclusive items as part of the current Season 2 battle pass once the game releases, but these items cannot be used on other platforms.

In an older, separate announcement, Activision also detailedWarzone Mobile’s control options. The choices include touchscreen, a Backbone One controller, or Bluetooth controller.Call of Duty’s official partnership with the Backbone One seems to be the strongest choice, although its price is a bit steep at $99. Alternatively, users can use Bluetooth-enabled controllers like the Xbox Wireless Controller or PlayStation 5 DualSense Wireless Controller, but their response times won’t be as speedy as the Backbone.
