Earlier inCall of Duty: WarzoneSeason 3, Infinity Ward tested out a new contract type called Most Wanted, and fans weren’t happy with it. For the uninitiated, Most Wanted contracts revealed players' locations to everyone else on the battle royale map for a limited time. If players survived long enough, they would get a big cash reward as well as the instant revival of their dead teammates. It sounds like a thrilling idea on paper, but the execution was way off. Following some significant fan backlash, Infinity Ward removed Most Wanted contracts fromCall of Duty: Warzone, but now it appears they may be coming back.

SomeCall of Duty: Warzoneplayers have reported seeing new Daily Challenges tasking them with completingMost Wanted contracts. However, since Most Wanted contracts aren’t inCall of Duty: Warzoneright now, completing those challenges is impossible. Some think that this is a sign that Most Wanted contracts will be making a return as part ofCall of Duty: WarzoneSeason 4, with a bug making the challenge go live too early. Alternatively, it’s possible that Infinity Ward forgot to remove Most Wanted contracts from the possible Daily Challenges pool.

Whatever the case may be, some fans are understandably worried about the idea of Most Wanted contracts coming back toCall of Duty: Warzone. However,Infinity Wardcould bring Most Wanted contracts back to the game in a way that wouldn’t upset fans.

One of the big complaints fans had about Most Wanted contracts inWarzonewas that they completely replaced the regular bounty contracts in the game. If Infinity Ward were to bring Most Wanted contracts back without replacing bounty contracts, it seems safe to say that fans will be much less upset by them. Of course, there are some other ways thatInfinity Ward could improveWarzoneMost Wanted contractsas well.

Infinity Ward could makeWarzoneMost Wanted contracts infinitely more appealing by improving their risk vs. reward. Simply giving players more cash for surviving the time limit would go a long way, especially sinceWarzoneplayers can get plenty of cashalready without taking on such a big risk. Whether or not anything like this is changed about Most Wanted contracts inWarzoneremains to be seen, however.

It’s always possible that this is just a bug and is not indicative of what fans can expect fromWarzoneSeason 4at all. So before anyone gets too worked up, they should wait for some official information from Activision about what’s in store inWarzoneSeason 4.
