Several issues came to light during the firstCall of Duty: Vanguardopen beta weekend, and Sledgehammer Games has already been moving to address some of them. Now, it appears that fans can expect the nextCall of Duty: Vanguardbeta weekend to include even more updates to visibility, Armor, and audio.

It was already confirmed earlier thatCall of Duty: Vanguardis getting visibility and audio changes, but it’s reassuring to know the changes will be made by the next weekend beta. While the armor update appears to have been less requested than visibility and audio updates, it may be nice for fans to know that Sledgehammer Games is addressing multiple issues, not just the ones getting the most attention.

Charlie Intel announced recently on Twitter that the visibility upgrades will include the global removal of distortion, which is a temporary fix that is expected to have an effect on fire, explosions, and overall visual fidelity. This fix is simply being added so that players in the beta can focus on gameplay, as theCall of Duty: Vanguardvisibility problemshave led to a number of videos showcasing players shooting storms of bullets at enemies and missing every shot. While the problems currently appear to be mainly found in the PS4 version of the beta, it remains to be seen how the changes will affect it across consoles.

The audio team also seems to be facing a complicated problem with volume issues, mixing issues, and unexpected bugs. Apparently, most of the changes won’t be made during theCall of Duty: Vanguardopen betaperiod, but it will hopefully be rebalanced in time for launch. In the meantime, the audio team has requested that fans keep sharing feedback on the audio issues so the developers can take it into account while tuning. The Armor updates are far shorter than the other two subjects, simply declaring an increased recharge rate from Fast to Slow, and that Armor health has been decreased from 150hp to 50hp.

As of writing, it appears that fans have several other issues they would like Sledgehammer Games to address, including crashes, flinch, and bugged graphics. Several users complained about audio makingCall of Duty: Vanguardmultiplayerdifficult and another notes that the recoil for guns convinced them to skip the beta weekends and wait until the game’s official launch. Another user claims that the Armor nerfs only show why Armor was a bad idea to begin with.
