TheCall of Duty: Modern Warfarecommunity has tons of game mode options for every player to choose from, with options for every fan, and each with its own ruleset. In this case, an avidModern Warfarefan reached an unfortunate end in their final round of Gunfight.
The concept behind Gunfight is fairly simple. Two small teams go head to head in an elimination basedmatch with randomized weapons. Whichever can win six rounds is crowned victory. In the case of camping, a flag spawns and it is up to the players to fight over control of the flag.

The video starts in what could thefinal round of Gunfight. The score is five to four and if the red team can not win the round then blue will automatically win. There is only one member of each team still standing and the clock is ticking. The uploader is seen sneaking through a cargo container when they round the corner and begin execution on the unfortunate enemy. The timer clearly says overtime giving some hope that this could mean victory for the blue team. As the animation finishes the player backs up just enough for overtime to end and the round to go to red in a hilarious turn of events.
This infuriating turn of events is only one of the many possible outcomesin a Gunfight match. Although many agree that red should have lost the round, the status remains and blue has to win another fight for victory. It is unknown who won the entire encounter, but the one thing everyone can count on is that the uploader is furious about the entire chain of events.
Advice from the comments is that next time the player might want to just shoot the enemy rather than trying to do something fancy. Executions waste time and often are detrimental to the team atmosphere of any match.
Still, this makes for a hilarious match to look back on.
