Finally debuting recently to widespread excitement,Call of Dutywill officially be returning this November forCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.The game will bea direct sequel to the firstBlack Ops, seeing the player create their own protagonist and embark on a action-packed campaign centered around the real-life historical events of the Cold War.

It seems the incredible visuals and blockbuster heroics shown in the trailers will come at a small price, however, with new details claiming that the game will take up a hefty amount of space on players' hard drives. Discovered on the Microsoft store’s listing for the upcomingCall of Dutysequel, it seems the title will clock in at around a 100gb download.

That’s obviously a mighty chunk of any players' hard drive, especially with most console owners only having around 500gb to play with. Luckily, its alternate edition(which comes withCall of Duty Content Packs1,2,3,and4alongside the base game) doesn’t clock in that much heftier, with Microsoft listing that the release will take up 100.04gb. It’s worth noting that these might just be placeholders for the time being, withCold Warstill a few months away from release.

It’s also safe to assume, if previous games in the series are anything to go by, that the game will also only get bigger over time.Modern Warfare’sstandard edition, for example, boasted around 50gb of content at launch. However, it now clocks in at over 200gb. With frequent new updates and additional content, it seems likely thatCold Warwill take up even more free space on players hard drives in time.

Looking atCold Warcompared to several other huge games, it stacks up alongside some of this generation’s most meaty releases, includingThe Last of Us 2,Red Dead Redemption 2, Destiny 2,andWarzone.Hopefully, that means the game’s going to come complete with tons of content, whether that means a lengthy campaign, tons of multiplayer maps, or perhaps a revamped Zombies mode.

For those who didn’t catchCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’srecent announcement, the game will officially be available on November 13 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. Being the first next-generationCall of Dutyrelease, fans are already hoping that it’s going to do a lot to switch up the formula and embrace the advanced hardware at its disposal. They’ll get a better look at the game when Activision reveals its multiplayer on September 9.
