Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warplayer switchondem recently shared a screenshot of the issue on Reddit. The player shows how the latestCall of Dutyis now a massive 219.8 GBon PS5, taking up nearly a third of the console’s default storage space. For comparison,Star Wars Jedi: Fallen OrderandIt Takes Twoseen alongside the game are only around 40 GB each.
As a partial solution to this, fans can uninstall individual aspects of the game to try and reduce its file size.Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold WarZombiesand the main campaign can be uninstalled if the player only wants to access its online multiplayer. Still, uninstalling the campaign only brings the number down to 154 GB, with the file still being larger than other titles.
Activision and Treyarch have often been criticized for havinglargeCall of Dutyfile sizes.
