Naruto X Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connectionshas stayed faithful to the series' consistent familiarity in combat. As such, the characters' ultimate, more formally called “Secret Techniques,” have also been kept the same. Ultimates inNaruto X Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connectionsare among the most important feats in battle, as they deal massive amounts of damage with a single blow, and can easily tie into combos, just like a Ninjutsu.
With the revelation of newer characters in the newUltimate Ninja Stormtitle, more ultimates have been unveiled, along with reformed Secret Techniques from the past. Some of these ultimates are a bit underwhelming, while others certainly prove that CyberConnect2 has put effort into their fighter designs.
8Rin Nohara
Three-Tails Rampage
As the Three-Tails jinchuriki, Rin was forced to withhold an exceptional amount of power without her being able to control it. Though in canon,Rin has Kakashimake sure that the Three-Tails wouldn’t be a threat to anyone by taking her out,Naruto X Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connectionsallows players to use the Three-Tails to their advantage while playing as Rin.
With her Secret Technique, Rin blasts the opponent away by letting the Three-Tails loose. After a pummeling, Rin then gains back control, and a short scene showcases a distraught Rin, complete with rainfall and flashbacks. Overall, Rin’s ultimate is one of the more cinematic ones.
7The First Hokage: Hashirama Senju (Reanimation)
Sage Art: Wood Style Shinsu Senju Veritable 1000-Armed Kan’on
Hashirama has incredible power from his ability to manipulate the Wood Style and use Wood Style Jutsu.The First Hokage Hashirama(Reanimation) takes his Wood Style to its limit during his Secret Technique.
After his ultimate is triggered, Hashirama summons a colossal statue, fitted with thousands of hands. Shortly after, Hashirama directs the statue to attack with all of its hands, chakra, and power onto the enemy ninja. The cinematics, animation, and power from this ultimate make it so compelling to activate.
6Minato Namikaze (Reanimation)
Flying Raijin: Jiku Shippu Senko Rennodan Zeroshiki
The father of Naruto Uzumaki, the Fourth Hokage (Minato Namikaze), has been known to be the fastest ninja in the Hidden Leaf Village during his time. Minato used a special kunai that allowed him to essentially teleport to his enemies, which he does during this Secret Technique.
Minato throws his kunai at the enemy and summons a shadow clone. After the shadow clone and Minato attack the opposing ninja, Minato sends the clone away and hits the opponent with a powerful Rasengan.
5Kakashi Hatake (Double Sharingan)
Susano’o: Kamui Lightning Blade
Kakashi had always been one of the most powerful ninja inNaruto, and that fact held even more true once he had access to both Sharingan eyes. With his Sharingan, Kakashi summons a large, blue Susano’o after hitting the enemy with some kunai and bringing the enemy into an alternate dimension with his Kamui.
Kakashi then lands a very powerful Lightning Blade with the help of his Susano’o, which gives players a fascinating display of a lightshow, and a grand ending pose by Kakshi’s Susano’o at the end.
4Sasuke (Boruto)
Planetary Devastation: Heavenly Drop
Sasuke in generalhas some of the best Secret Techniques in the game, as all of his roster characters have excellent displays during their ultimate. But, Sasuke (Boruto) may have one of the best ones yet. Sasuke summons a short Susano’o to attack the opponent up close and then summons a larger Susano’o, complete with wings.
Sasuke then suspends himself with the Susano’o and gathers rock and debris to form large meteors to shower onto the enemy. The attack showcases the damage dealt by Sasuke by showing a large part of the planet being blown to bits.
3Naruto (Baryon Mode)
Baryon Rasengan: Heavenly Drill
Baryon Mode Narutois one of the newest characters to land inNaruto X Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections’slarge roster. The new variant of Naruto also brought along an excellent Secret Technique.
When activated, Naruto goes into his Baryon Mode and rushes down the enemy, which then allows Naruto to send them flying. Once he catches up to them, Naruto sends them flying upward with a heavy kick and then slams them down from the atmosphere with a Baryon Rasengan, dealing massive damage to the vicinity.
2Sarada Uchiha (Chidori: One Thousand Birds)
Sudden Shower Crusher
Sarada now has two character slots inNaruto X Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm, giving her access to multiple Secret Techniques and Ninjutsu. This variant of Sarada Uchiha is arguably the best, and her ultimate showcases just that.
Sarada’s ultimate shows her landing a rapid combo on her enemy with her Sharingan activated before grounding them with a Fireball Jutsu. Afterward, Sarada lands a swift Chidori to finish them off. In the end, players get a scene with Sarada posing (fixing her glasses) after devastating the opponent.
1Kinshiki
Frenzied Fury
Kinshiki Otsutsuki isn’t just a monstrous opponent inBoruto, but also a very dangerous foe to face off against inNaruto X Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections. This fighter is much larger than others and puts on an even larger show with his Secret Technique.
At the start of his ultimate, Kinshiki batters the enemy with his weaponized chakra and then slings them downward with a chain formed out of chakra. Kinshiki then forms a large battleaxe and rushes down from the sky to slam the weapon on the opponent. Fans get a neat anime-esque scene with Kinshiki screaming with rage as he falls toward his enemy, giving the Secret Technique that much more of a cinematic edge over the others.
