Battlefield 2042did not get off to the best of starts, experiencing many technical issues and problems, players have even found bugs and glitches aplenty while trying to play DICE and EA’s latest first-person shooter. While DICE has attempted to respond to all the reported problems within the game, there was such a surge of them thatBattlefield 2042has been releasing patch after patchin order to keep up.
The latest patch, 3.1, is the final patch before DICE employees earn a much-needed holiday break period. This means for players ofBattlefield 2042though, that they will likely be left with whichever bugs aren’t fixed in this patch until the new year. On their official website, theBattlefield 2042developers unveiled a short summary of the key changed. First came the notes on improvements for bullets hit registration and balance changes for recoil. Further balance changes followed before the rest of the patch focused on bugs.

One bug in particular that is supposedly fixed as of patch 3.1 is a glitch that would see a player appear invisible to enemies. ConsideringBattlefield 2042’sfuturistic approach and setting, one may have expected invisbility technology to make an appearance, but to one player’s surprise, they managed tobecome invisible withoutBattlefield 2042’s intention. Once highlighted on Reddit, this glitch was then reported to DICE, which was followed by a community manager reaching out to confirm this bug would be dealt with.
Though patch 3.1 is unlikely tofix every problemBattlefield 2042has, many players are glad that little by little, the issues with the game are being dealt with. Others are upset though that they are being treated as live Q&A testers consistently with titles as they are launched. With AAA games likeCyberpunk 2077, Watch Dogs Legion, andMarvel’s Avengersall releasing with notable bugs and glitches, many gamers are growing tired of paying full price for a game that they can barely play at launch.
Despite the numerous bugs though, many players are finding ways to have fun inBattlefield 2042. The sandbox experience allows for sniping, driving tanks, diving from buildings and all sorts of mayhem for players to enjoy and pull off insane plays. These “Battlefieldmoments” were a key part of2042’smarketing, and with the inclusion of bugs, players have accidentally been able to pull off amazing plays, like oneBattlefieldplayer who dodged a missile by drifting their truck.
