Baldur's Gate 3 Has Gigantic File Size on PS5

PC players have to set aside 150 GB to downloadBaldur’s Gate 3on their platform of choice, and while the game’s file size isn’t nearly as big on PS5, it’s still quite significant.

Baldur’s Gate 3is 108.831 GB on PS5, according to Twitter account PlayStation Game Size. This means thatBaldur’s Gate 3will take up a significant chunk of the PS5’s storage space. Needless to say, gamers may want to considerupgrading their PS5’s storage capacityif they haven’t done so already. After all,Baldur’s Gate 3isn’t the only PS5 game with a gigantic file size, and so downloading the game will otherwise likely require players to delete some other games they have on their system.

PlayStation Game Size also noted some details aboutBaldur’s Gate 3PS5 preloading. Those that have the $79.99 Digital Deluxe Edition ofBaldur’s Gate 3can preload now and expect to jump into the game on September 2. Those that have the $69.99 Standard Edition can preloadBaldur’s Gate 3on PS5 starting September 4 and start playing the game on its official release date, September 6.

An exact file size forBaldur’s Gate 3on Xbox has not been revealed at the time of this writing, likely because the Xbox version of the game doesn’t even have a release date yet. But whileBaldur’s Gate 3’s Xbox versionis currently without a release date, fans do know the general release window they can expect the game. According to Larian Studios, the Xbox version ofBaldur’s Gate 3will release at some point within the September to November 2023 window. WheneverBaldur’s Gate 3does drop on Xbox, fans can expect that version of the game to have a file size comparable to the PS5 version, though it’s unlikely that it will get nearly as big as the game is on PC.

Baldur’s Gate 3is out now on PC with a PS5 version releasing September 6 and an Xbox version launching later this year.
