While the numbers have dipped since then, many gamers are still playingBaldur’s Gate 3, and it seems that Larian Studios is planning something to appease the most hardcore segments of the audience.
A gamer called Scornz has recently uncovered some pretty strong indications that there’s a new mode forBaldur’s Gate 3in the works. Scornz shared a picture ofBG3achievements on Reddit, and one of them was “Foehammer,” which could only be attained after completing the game in Honour Mode. At the moment, the only modes available are Explorer, Balance, and Tactician, which hints at the introduction of this new mode soon.
It’s important to note thatDivinity: Original Sin 2already had an Honour Mode, which may give some hints about this addition. In Larian’s previous game, Honour Mode was the hardest difficulty setting, as it only gives players a single save file to use, and it erases itself if players die. In any case, it’s important to remember that Larian has not officially announced this mode yet, so it’s impossible to say for sure what Honour Mode will be inBaldur’s Gate 3.
Last week,Larian released Update 4 forBaldur’s Gate 3. It was a pretty big update, including over 1,000 bug fixes, tweaks, and changes to the title, as well as introducing a few quality-of-life improvements. Among these improvements, more options for color-blind people were added, along with more customization options for the appearance of hirelings.
