Two years ago, InnerSloth released a game calledAmong Us, in which colorful astronauts try to keep a space ship running while at least one member of the crew is an Impostor whose goal is to violently eliminate the other players. One fan ofAmong Usnamed Landonardo posted two videos to YouTube featuring anime-inspired death animations.
In between his letsplay videos, Landonardo has been making parodies for shows likeSword Art OnlineandRick and Mortyon YouTube since 2012, including a live-actionFall Guysvideo with his friends. These latest creations are completely animated, and curious fans can watch the archived art stream on his channel if they want to know how he created the shorts.

Among Usreached 3 million concurrent playersrecently, and the indie game has been exploding in popularity on Twitch. Fans have latched onto it as a good party game both to play and watch, and it can be just as fun to play one of the potential victims as it is to be the villainous Impostor. Successful Impostors know how to play innocent and strike at the right time.
The game is easy to pick up, but that does not mean it is necessarily an easy game.Crew members inAmong Usneed to work together to survive, calling emergency meetings whenever a dead body is found to discuss who among the crew could be the Impostor. The winning scenario for crew is when the last Impostor is ejected into space by popular vote.
Artists often find colorful party games likeAmong Usinspiring, because the relatively simple characters and animations can be adapted to tell dramatic stories, or in this case recreate scenes from popular fandoms. The thing that makes these two videos stand out in particular is that any one of these finishing moves could fit in with the normal gameplay without being out of place. Represented animes in the short sequences includeNaruto,One Punch Man, andDeath Note.
Fans in the comments speculate whether custom finishers like these could be modded in. Considering thatAmong Ushas crossplay between PC and mobile, and the title does not have a Steam Workshop or mod database, that seems unlikely at this time. Perhaps InnerSloth could open up functionality for players to create their own “finishing moves” as theyexpandAmong Usin place of the cancelledAmong Us 2.
Among Usis available now for Mobile and PC.
