TheArk 2announcement revealed that Vin Diesel would be playing a major role in the upcomingArksequel, both starring inArk 2and serving as its executive producer. Ark 2’s newest trailer introduces the world ofArkfrom the point of view ofthe Vin Diesel-played Santiago’s daughter, Meeka, as she reflects on the history of the game’s world. According to Meeka’s explanation, a great war ravaged the Earth with the people of Earth sending dinosaurs to survive on the far-off planet of Arat. The trailer also places a focus on the connection between Santiago and Meeka, suggesting the father-daughter pair’s relationship may be a main part ofArk 2’s story. Studio Wildcard also teases a release window at the trailer’s conclusion revealingArk 2is scheduled to launch in 2023.
Between the debut trailer andArk 2’s newest story-themed video, the survival game sequel looks to be placing a heavy focus on its in-game story and characters.
