In the lead-up toAnimal Crossing: New Horizons’ newest update, Nintendo teased a lot of new content for itssuper-popular cartoon social sim, so much so that players might not have a full idea of what to expect. But now that update 1.2.0 has been released, Nintendo’s patch notes should give them a clearer picture.

Starting things off, the update brings with it the game’s next seasonal event, Nature Day. From today to May 4, players can take on new Earth Day-themed activities centered around flowers and other types of plants. Many of these activities are tied to the Garden Shop ofLeif, one of the two new merchants who will now show up on players’ islands on occasion. The other one is Redd, who runs a black market from his Treasure Trawler where players can buy pieces of art.

These tie into another one of the 1.2.0 update’s new additions:an art gallery. Once players unlock this expansion for Blathers’ museum, they can start donating the works of art they buy from Redd to put on display in the gallery. However, there’s always the risk of Redd trying to sell players counterfeit art, which can’t be given to Blathers, so they’re going to have to study a potential buy carefully.

Animal Crossing: New Horizonsalso now has three new Nook Mile challenges for players to take on, along with five new Nook Mileage rewards, which are:

Not everything the update brings will be beneficial to players, unfortunately. Upon starting up the game, players will receive notification from Tom Nook that theinterest gained from bells has been reduced, and a bell-shaped rug as an apology. On a more pleasant note, though, players will also receive a letter from Nintendo thanking them for playingNew Horizons, which comes with a world map.

Players will have more new content to look forward to in the coming weeks. Following Nature Day,New Horizonswillhost multiple events throughout May and June, starting with the May Day event from May 1-7, then continuing with International Museum Day from May 18-31 and Wedding Season from June 1-30.
