Recently,AMDannounced the launch of its gaming bundle, which allows players to get hold of a copy of bothResident Evil Villageand the upcomingFar Cry 6so long as they purchase a Ryzen CPU and Radeon RX 6000 graphics card together. Withthe new trailer forFar Cry 6having just been released, this is quite a scintillating deal, especially for those who are looking to upgrade their equipment and are in the market for some new games. Since then, AMD has also gone ahead and extended this deal to include another one of its GPU products.
According to a report from Tom’s Hardware,AMDwill be allowing gamers to get free copies of the above games by purchasing just one of its products. That product is its best GPUs to date, the RX 6900 XT, which was launched late last year. The deal states that customers can buy just this one card, without having to purchase both a qualifying Ryxen CPU and a different card in the 6000 series. Tech fans in the know may already see a catch to this deal.

As well as being a powerful card, although perhaps not quite on par withNvidia’s RTX 3090which was released just before AMD’s, it’s sadly difficult to get hold of due to the ongoing hardware shortages. This means that, according to the source, current prices for the RX 6900 XT are estimated to be around $2,000, or above. This means it’s quite a lofty price to pay for two AAA titles, as enticing as they both may be. In any case, AMD says the deal will be ongoing until July 01, 2025, with the end date for game redemptions being July 02, 2025.
Despite the cost that many will face if they are interested in the bundle, having two popular games for free does still sound like a good deal, especially as one of those titles isn’t even out yet.Far Cry 6is slated to be one of the biggest releases of this year, andResident Evil Villagemay have been out for a while now, but it’s still pulling in new players, especially with some planned DLC coming out at some point.
However, despite this, there is still a global deficit that is plaguing the tech and video game industry. WithNvidia’s CEO believing the shortages could go on for the majority of 2022, any gaming bundleAMDdoes offer may sound great, but it could be difficult to entice customers in if no one can get hold of any hardware at the moment.
Far Cry 6is due to launch on October 7 for Luna PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
