Additionally, fans that completed all of this Timed Research unlocked the Throwback Challenge Champion Special Research, which is now available in some regions. To note, the Throwback Challenge Champion tasks inPokemon GOare proving to be quite time-consuming indeed, and at the time of writing players are still working through them. It is worth mentioning, that players that did not complete all of the Timed Research from the other parts of the Throwback Challenge can still gain access toPoGO’s Throwback Champion Challenge Special Research. This is done by purchasing aThrowback Challenge 2020 Special Research ticketfor $7.99, and players can find that in the in-game shop. That said, while the Special Research can be completed at any time once unlocked, players that wish to purchase a ticket should make sure to do so before Monday, June 8 at 1pm local time.
The Special Research is not the only thing for fans to enjoy duringPokemon GO’s Throwback Champion Challenge, though, as a handful of Galarian Pokemon will be making their debut in 7KM eggs. Furthermore,Pokemon from the Unova regionwill be appearing more often in the wild during this event, making thePoGOThrowback Champion Challenge 2020 the perfect opportunity for players to find Gen 5 Pokemon that may be missing from their Pokedex.
