It is no secret thatStellar Bladetakes inspiration from theSoulsseries when it comes to combat and world design. To some extent,Nier Automataalso plays a huge role in shaping Shift Up’s action-adventure. The common thread is that combat is a huge part of the experience, andthings will not be easy for Eve.
Other than the rank-and-file Naytiba that stands in her way, there are also much more dangerous foes in the form of Alpha Naytibas that will give players a run for their money. These beasts are not to be scoffed at, and only by preparing well can you hope to emerge victorious in battle. This guide will help you do just that when it comes todefeating Abaddon inStellar Blade.

How to Beat Abaddon in Stellar Blade
As the first big badNaytibaofStellar Blade, Abaddon is still considered a relatively straightforward fight thanks to the boss' moves and combos. The combat in the game rewards calculated risks and aggression, and learning the enemy’s pattern figures heavily into countering their every move and punishing them.
At the start, Abaddon will utilizeseveral swings of its dual swordsas its main combos, so make sure your parrying game is on point. It usually attacks with aset of three strikesor adual slash, mixing in aFatal Attackor two thatrequires a Perfect Dodgeto counter. When Eve’s bladeflashes blue, dodge towards the bossto warp behind it and counter.

Once its health is down to about half and its shield depleted, Abaddon will enter itssecond phase, summoning lightningto help with its attacks. At this point, watch out for itsranged moves, such as summoning bolts of lighting that target where Eve stands.Keep moving to avoid any damage.
Another move sees the boss hurl balls of lightning at the player, which can be dodged or avoided by moving, and the same can be done for the waves of electricity Abaddon sends out with its swords.

Do note that its regular sword attacks now hit harder, so make sure you time your parries accordingly to nullify Abaddon’s balance. Removing the yellow pips under its health will open up the boss for apowerful Retribution attack, which will take off a chunk of its health. Keep the aggression, do not overcommit, and remember topress L1 to perform the QTEonce its health is depleted to win the fight.
Your reward will be preciousresourcesas well as aWeapon Core, which can be used to increase Eve’s base damage with Blood Edge at anUpgrade Console found at the bigger camps.
