While it may be along time until theTitanfallseries returns, Respawn Entertainment continues to keep that IP alive in subtle ways through its current popular shooter,Apex Legends, Set within theTitanfalluniverse,Apex Legendshas no shortages of references including characters, lore, and of course, the available weapons.
The transition fromTitanfalltoApex Legendsisn’t always a smooth or easy one, however. For example, earlier in February, reports seemed to indicate that the Smart Pistol was being prepared to make the jump. While thedevelopment team quickly squashed that rumor, fan reaction to the initial news was fairly negative. The Smart Pistol is pretty decisive anyway as many view it as an easy win button, giving the user a way to lock on and eliminate other players at the press of a button. Clearly, not every weapon in theTitanfallseries is ready or perhaps worthy to make the transition over to the popular Battle Royale experience.

So here are fiveTitanfallweapons that should make the jump toApex Legends.

Volt
Arguably the gun at the top of most fans wish lists, the Volt is a Submachine Gun that was originally introduced forTitanfall 2. What makes this SMG different from the rest is that it fires electrified bolts of energy rather than traditional bullets. The claim to fame with the Volt, outside of the fact it essentially fires blue tracer rounds, is that the weapon has a lower rate of fire and time to kill when compared to the R-97. However, it makes up for that by having a much higher accuracy and range than other SMGs in its class.
If added to Apex Legends, the Volt would become the first energy based SMG alsojoining the L-STARand Havoc weapons for their use of energy ammo.
B3 Wingman Elite
WhileApex Legendsalready has the Wingman Revolver, the Elite variant offered something a little different when it was added toTitanfall 2as part of the Angel City’s Most Wanted update. This semi-automatic, customized high caliber revolver hit harder than the normal Wingman, capable of one shotting another player with a headshot. While that may sound overpowered, the Elite is a true skill weapon as it doesn’t feature hitscan like other weapon and requires players to lead their targets slightly when aiming.
Weapon mods also gave the gun a bit more spice by adding ricochet rounds at level 3 and the ability to reduce tactical cooldowns after a pilot kill at level 7.
G2A5 Battle Rifle
The A5 variant appeared inTitanfall 2, being a more advanced version of the G2A4 from the first game. This is a semi-auto rifle with a match trigger fitting somewhere in between the traditional assault rifle and a sniper. This weapon features high damage against enemy targets at any range. Basically, the gun fires as fast as the user can pull the trigger.
While that sounds great, its one big downside is the fact that it doesn’t hip fire very well. When using this gun, aiming down the sights is very important so in terms ofApex Legends, it’s not likely a weapon that players will be able to run and gun with as they would with a pistol or SMG.
Combat Advanced Round Submachine Gun (C.A.R.)
The Combat Advanced Round SMG, or C.A.R. for short, is a classicTitanfallweapon. similar tothe standard R-301 Carbine. The C.A.R. features more power as it is able to take down opponents in less time (and bullets) with a higher accuracy and stability at medium ranges compared to other SMGs like the R-97 Carbine. For the additional power, however, the gun had reduced fire rate, range and capacity.
This weapon is a bit more controversial and likely not the first choice for most Apex Legends players. Previously rumored to be coming to the game late last year, it was met with a lot of pushback from fans. While the C.A.R. is a standardTitanfallSMG,Apexplayers argued that the weapon’s inclusion would further oversaturate the amount of weapons that utilize light ammo. The other criticism is that adding the C.A.R. is ultimately too similar to the R-99 SMG, a weapon that is already pretty popular and powerful. Regardless, the C.A.R. remains one of the biggest current weapons to not have made the jump fromTitanfalltoApex Legends.
EM-4 Cold War
While most of the important weapons have already been added, the EM-4 Cold War grenade launcher may not be an obvious choice, but it’s absolutely a unique one. First off, the Cold War is a four-round burst bullpup grenade launcher. It needs to be charged up prior to firing and the four round burst produces high AOE damage.
So why would this be an interesting choice? It could fill an increasingly important niche. Recent changes this weekreduced grenade stacks from two to one per inventory slotin an attempt to reduce late game spam as well as a bit of inventory changes on top of that. With grenades now nerfed, this grenade launcher could be an option for players who want to provide some heavy fire against enemies, keeping them pinned down against the ring or something similar. To help solve the potential problem of the return of grenade spam, it could be added as a care package weapon only.
